Day 81 (T3.21)
Remember to click "Read More" lower right to see the full post.
Have the go-ahead for the 4th treatment on Tuesday. The blood work is all good.
Also, have the report from the PETCT scan done last month.
The summary is (quoted):
- There has been resolution of the previously seen multiple lesions involving the cervical lymph nodes, paranasal sinuses, and the soft tissues of the head and neck. Findings are consistent with response to interval therapy.
- Within the lower extremities, the multiple lesions within the skeletal structures surrounding the bilateral knees have resolved Consistent with response to Interval therapy. There are residual lytic Lesions noted involving the distal right femur and the proximal right tibia as described above. These show a marked reduction in uptake to near background levels, approximately the same as blood pool, consistent with response to Interval therapy. Findings represent a Deauville score of 2.
- Previously seen right inguinal lymphadenopathy with increased uptake has resolved, consistent with response to interval therapy.
- Mild Increased uptake is noted diffusely in the bone marrow consistent with recent Neulasta injection. There is no area of new or enlarging focal lesion to suggest progression of disease."
Good report. The gist is that a good deal of the cancer is no longer seen in the scan. Other lesions have shrunk in size. Doctor Engstrom suggests that I will probably need radiation on the right knee after chemo.
This is very good news.
